Perranporth Beach is the main attraction and the golden 3 mile beach is a must for everyone. There are several companies that provide surf lessons and rent out boards. Or why not just have an ice cream and enjoy the sunshine.
Walking & Hiking
Some of the world’s most awe-inspiring coastline is right on our doorstep. The Southwest Coast Path is the walk of a lifetime and not to be missed.
We are a mere 500 metres from the South West Coast Footpath and a leisurely hike into town will take you 10-15 minutes. You can also head towards St Agnes which is approx a 45 min hike but well worth it.
Graham Winston who created the Poldark family saga was a long time resident of Perranporth. Wandering around the area you will find many clues to his inspiration.
The Perranporth Flying Club at the Perranporth Airfield offers flying lessons as well as sky diving.
The mining heritage is ever present in Cornwall and the old mining works and tunnels are still visible at Cligga head.
Kayaking, golfing, cycling and horse riding is also available in the vicinity.
Rainy days happen and we prefer to embrace what nature throws our way. The beauty of the coast line and it’s ever changing nature is to be experienced.
Rainy Days are excellent opportunities to sample cosy country pubs, explore the shops or storm watching.
